What's in your bin?
Did you know that up 85% of the rubbish in your bin doesn't have
to be there? Many items can be recycled and composted. We offer a
range of services to help you reduce your rubbish including:
A weekly kerbside recycling service
We collect plastic and cardboard one week, followed by paper,
glass and cans the next.
Please place each type of material in a separate carrier bag or box and leave on the
kerbside by 7am on your collection day. Please make sure it is
clearly visible. Please do not put any other material out, as it
will not be collected.
A fornightly garden waste collection
Between March and November we collect garden waste from the
kerbside on the same day as we collect plastic and cardboard for
recycling in your area.
Local recycling banks
We have over 40
sites where you can take a range of materials for recycling,
including: papers, cans, glass, plastics, textiles, foil and
books.
Recycling Centres
We have two recycling centres in the Vale, one in Hays Rd
Sully, the other on Llandow Trading Estate. A wide variety of
materials can be recycled at these sites but they can get very
busy. Please if at all possible avoid the busy times it
tends to be quieter during the week 09:00 - 11:00.
