This year’s Fostering Fortnight begins on 12 May and the Vale of Glamorgan Council is asking people to consider whether they too could look after a child or young person in need.

Fostering can be one of the most fulfilling roles in life, but we realise becoming a foster carer is a major decision.

You may have seen advertising for lots of different fostering agencies that all seem to offer different reasons why you should foster for them.

You may be unsure as to what type of fostering to do, what types of children you wish to care for or whether you can actually afford to foster.
