Residential Homes in the Vale

What do we do?

We provide mainly personal care for residents, such as help with washing, dressing and promoting independence.

There is a choice of five homes within the Vale of Glamorgan that are staffed by the local authority. Four of these homes provide accommodation for frail older people and one for older people with varying degrees of dementia. The homes are located in Cowbridge, Barry, Penarth and Dinas Powys.

Who is the service for?

The service is aimed at people aged 65 and over who are unable to maintain their independence at home, even with the support of services such as Home Care, meals on wheels, or help from family and friends.
