The site features adoption-related news and developments and brings together the Department's printed 'Adoption' leaflets - as well as providing links to other websites associated with adoption. It is not intended to be a complete and authoritative statement of the law.
The Department for Education and Skills is the government department which currently has responsibility for Adoption.Their website has information about domestic and international adoption and links to many other organisations. In Wales responsibility for Adoption resides with the Welsh Assembly Government.
