Family Information Service (FIS)
The Children & Young People's Information Service (CYPIS)
has now become the Family Information Service (FIS)
This means that we now aim to provide free information,
advice and assistance to families in the Vale, with children age
0-19yrs. The Family Information Services across Wales were launched
by Jane Hutt, at a national conference 'Getting it Right for
Parents'. This means that every local authority now has a Family
Information Service.
We provide information about:
- Childcare including:
- Childminders
- Day nurseries and creches
- Out of schools clubs
- Playrgoups and Cylch Meithrin
- Parent & toddler groups
- Holiday playschemes
- Nanny, baby sitting and au pair agencies
- Help with childcare costs
- How to become a childcare provider
- Activities during school holidays
- Leisure activities
- Other services and activities for children and young people age
0-19 years
We aim to help parents and carers, prospective parents,
employers, childcare providers and other people who work with
children and young people in the Vale.
