Promote your business the easy way
Whether you are a childminder, manage a day nursery or manage
any other childcare setting in the Vale, you can now update your
details ‘on line’.
The Family Information Service (FIS) promote all childcare
settings in the Vale via the childcare database. To make sure we
have all of your correct details, you can now login to the
‘Provider Portal’, make any changes and the database will be
updated within five working days. You know longer have to make
phone calls during office hours or fill in forms.

We will need the name of your setting, manager’s name and
contact number.

Training Programme 2011 - 2012
Early Support Training
Early Support Developmental Journal training
is available for staff working with families from 0-4 years in the
Vale of Glamorgan. The aim is for one person from each childcare
setting to attend. If you would like to attend the training
on 24th February 2012 or 1st March 2012
please complete the relevant booking form and send them back to
Early Support. The course is free to attend and lunch will be
provided as it is being paid for by Early Support.

have an understanding of Early Support and how to use the resources
as it is being rolled out across the Vale of Glamorgan with
families who have children with special and additional needs:

New food and physical activity resources for early
years settings
Welsh Government have recently developed a Food and Active Play
resource for use in early years settings . The resource consists of
the following:
- A4 bilingual practitioner guide
- 16 bilingual laminated cards - ideas for food activities
- 16 bilingual laminated card - ideas for active play
- All packaged in an A4 polyprop folder
We are distributing these to early years settings. If you would
