Events
Carers' Week
Each year the contribution that carers make to the community is
celebrated during Carers Week. Throughout the week various events
take place to highlight the issues carers face every day.
For Carers Week 2008 an event was held in Dyffryn Gardens
on the 10th June 2008 with music, relaxation therapies, IT
training, information and tours of the gardens. It was very
successful with carers gaining the chance to have some time to
themselves and gain information. We hope to run the event again in
June 2009.
Carers' Rights Day
Carers Right's Day will be held in early December with the
opportunity to gain information on benefits, pension, services,
assessments etc.
Carers' Training
Training courses are held throughout the year in areas such as
manual handling, stress management, first aid and healthy
eating.
