Sector Training
Our Social Care Workforce Development Partnership provides
a comprehensive training and development programme. This programme
is open to external providers, or other appropriate social care
organisations working within the Vale, who provide adult and
children’s services.
A non-attendance / cancellation fee of £40 per person for a
full days training or £25 for a half day is charged for
delegates who do not attend on the day of the course or who do not
give 10 working days notice, in writing, from the manager who
made the original nomination.
Staff are expected to attend for the duration of the training.
Those who do not complete the full course will not be issued with a
certificate. Please complete one form per person per course.
Incomplete booking forms will be returned.

Social Services Library now available
Over 400 books are now available to borrow along with
DVDs and other resources from the Social Services
library at the Dock Office. For an appointment please
contact Dan Morgan.
Local Safeguarding Children Board Training
Our Cardiff and Vale LSCB Training Sub Group provide a
comprehensive safeguarding training programme. This programme
is open to Health, Probation, Social Services, Police, Education,
Voluntary and Independent organisations, or any other
appropriate agencies working within the Cardiff and Vale
boundaries who come into contact with Children and
Families.
