Training
Our Social Care Workforce Development Partnership provide a
comprehensive training and development programme. This programme is
open to external providers, or other appropriate social care
organisations working within the Vale, who provide adult and
children’s services.
All staff are required to pay a fee of £40 per full day course
or £25 per half-day course. Vulnerable Adults
and
LSCB
courses are
provided free of charge. A non-attendance / cancellation fee of the
full course cost is charged for delegates who do not attend on the
day of the course or who do not give ten working days notice, in
writing, from the manager who made the original nomination.
Staff are expected to attend for the duration of the training.
Those who do not complete the full course will not be issued with a
certificate.
The annual Training Needs Audit, undertaken each November for
the following training year, forms the basis for planning the
training programme.
