Youth Service

Youth Service Training

The statutory youth service is keen to support and work with all its partners in developing excellent provision for young people.  A key method of supporting all youth support services is to ensure that their work force are well trained, qualified and informed about the issues of working and dealing with young peoples issues.

Note that in most cases courses are free or charged at a rate that covers the course fees. Certain programmes do require an interview prior to commencing the course this is often due to demand.

Should you require further information or wish to highlight training needs in your sector please talk with Jane Hawkshaw (Regional Workforce Development Co-ordinator) on 01446 792141 or 07717 700319; email j.hawkshaw@ymca-wales.ac.uk or visit www.ymca-wales.ac.uk
