Penarth Learning Community
The Council is currently consulting on a proposal to establish a
new school, the Penarth Learning Community, comprising of St Cyres
Comprehensive and a new SEN school to replace Ashgrove School,
Ysgol Erw'r Delyn and Ysgol Maes Dyfan. Read more.
Polling Station Review
The Vale of Glamorgan Council has now completed its review
of Polling Districts, Polling Places and Polling Stations in the
county. The results have been forwarded to the Electoral
Commission. Any changes to Polling Districts, Polling Places or
Polling Stations will be published on this website.
Iolo Park Regeneration
Gibbonsdown and Court Communities First in
partnership with the Vale of Glamorgan Council have been awarded
funding via the Barry Regeneration Area (BRA) Board to regenerate
Iolo Park. The consultation process involved a great number of
local residents and was a great success. The new facilities were
opening in July 2011.
Vale of Glamorgan Community Strategy 2011-2021
A new Community Strategy for the Vale of Glamorgan has been
drafted. The draft Strategy covers the period 2011-21 and builds on
the previous Strategy whilst incorporating a number of key
partnership plans and strategies. the consultation on the Strategy
has now finished and the final document was published in September
2011.
