Consultation on proposals for Castleland Renewal Area
The Castleland area of Barry was declared a Renewal Area in
April 2010. Renewal projects are now well underway in the area and
a programme of consultation will run alongside these to ensure that
the renewal works are guided by the views of local residents,
businesses and landlords.
We would like your views as to whether or not
you support the following proposals for the following within the
Renewal Area:
- Draft Upper Holton Road Development Guidelines - Supplementary
Planning Guidance (SPG), more about this.
- Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO)
Additional Licensing Scheme, more about this
- Proposed financial assistance for Upper
Holton Road, more about this.

The consultation period runs until 14
March 2012. You can comment on any of the proposals
by responding to the relevant questionnaires available through
links on each proposal page or you can email us direct at
privatesectorhousingonevale@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk.
Drop-in-sessions were held on 18, 26
January and 7 February 2012 when officers were on hand
to discuss each of the aspects of the consultation.
The Council is very keen to hear your views on
the proposals and will take account of them prior to deciding to
formally adopt the proposals.
