Iolo Park Regeneration
Gibbonsdown and Court Communities First in
partnership with the Vale of Glamorgan Council have been awarded
funding via the Barry Regeneration Area (BRA) Board to regenerate
Iolo Park.
The aim of the development project is to
create an environment where members of the local community can
enjoy the new facilities, improving their health and wellbeing
through the improved leisure and play opportunities.
As with all community projects Gibbonsdown and
Court Communities First and the Vale of Glamorgan Council wanted
the project to be guided by the views of local residents.
Consultation
The consultation into the future of Iolo Park has now
closed.
The option chosen by residents was Option Two, designed
by Park Leisure. Please view a

of the park and a plan of the layout.
Work is now underway to install the new equipment and landscape
the park. It is hoped that the new Iolo Park will be open by the
end of July 2011.
