Public Engagement Strategy
The Vale of Glamorgan Social Services Directorate recognises
that in order to plan services effectively, it is essential that we
hear the views of those who receive those services and potential
service users.
The Directorate is aiming to improve the ways in which it
engages with people, co-ordinates those activities, and provides
staff with a practical means of broadening the range of
consultation methods.
Public Engagement Strategy
The Public Engagement Strategy was established in August 2005
following a period of consultation. It identifies the current
levels of engagement and then suggests options for improving the
way we involve service users, carers, tenants and the public in
decision-making and developing services.
A review of the Strategy is currently being undertaken with a
view to promoting it amongst staff and revising the
