Improvement
The Vale of Glamorgan Council's Corporate Plan 2010-14
The Corporate Plan is the key Council policy document. The
plan is in place for a five-year period and sets out how the
Council will help achieve the vision as outlined in the Community
Strategy. This Plan outlines the Council’s six corporate priorities
each of which contain key aims and actions.
A review of progress against all actions included in the
Corporate Plan 2010-14 has been undertaken and was considered by
Cabinet on the 18 May 2011. Significant progress has been
made against a number of actions and the report to Cabinet included
an appendix which details what activities have already been
undertaken and whether an action has been completed or is still
ongoing.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council's Improvement Plan
2011-12
The Improvement Plan for
2011-12 is now available. It outlines
our performance during the previous year and our improvement
objectives for next year.
In the Plan, the Council has set out
34 improvement objectives. If you would like to suggest a new
improvement objective, or have comments on any of the current ones,
please email improvements@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk where
your comments will be considered for future publications.
Service Plans
Service Plans are the key planning documents for the
Council. The plans set out the key aims and objectives
relevant to each service area. Service Plans are produced on
an annual basis by each Head of Service or Operational Manager
where applicable.
Each service plan outlines the objectives of that service area
and performance indicators are used to measure whether each
objective is being achieved. It is also the Council’s key
performance monitoring document and includes:
- cross-cutting and service objectives
- action plans
- local and national performance indicator and targets
- risks facing the service
- service self-assessment
- consultation activities to obtain feedback from customers
