Ffynnon
What is Ffynnon?
Ffynnon is an exciting piece of performance management software
that allows users to effectively monitor and manage their own
performance information, by capturing performance indicators, risks
and actions all in one place.
More than just a system to enter data, Ffynnon can display trend
information, provide all-Wales performance comparisons, help plan
projects and enables users to quickly produce performance
reports.
Officers can access Ffynnon via the internet, meaning that
information can be easily viewed at any time and from anywhere. The
software is also password protected, securing the quality and
accuracy of data in the system.
All local authorities in Wales have signed up to use Ffynnon, in
addition to 11 other public sector organisations such as WAG, South
Wales Police and National Parks.

The Vale is the first council to successfully
surface content from Ffynnon onto both its intranet and
website. Put simply, surfacing means data from Ffynnon can be
viewed on a webpage without any need to log into the system.
The best feature is that as data in Ffynnon is updated, the data on
the webpage is automatically altered so you’ll never be looking at
old information.
Ten key indicators that cover some key service areas have been
chosen and can be viewed here. An
