Biography
She was elected to the newly formed Vale of Glamorgan County
Borough Council in 1995 as a Labour councillor for Buttrills
ward. A former teacher she was educated in Barry and at
Cardiff University and City of Birmingham college of Education,
spent seven years teaching in the Vale and then moved to Birmingham
and subsequently the London Borough of Brent where she taught
English and Special Needs in a Roman Catholic Secondary
