Biography
A former teacher, Margaret Alexander was born in Barry and
attended the local girls' grammar school. After working in
secondary schools in Birmingham and London, she retired and
returned to Barry where she joined the local Labour party and
became a member of the newly constructed Vale of Glamorgan County
Council in 1995.
