Biography:
Penarth-born Anthony Ernest was educated locally, and at St.
Edward's School, Oxford. On leaving school, he enrolled for
National Service in the Royal Signals, following which he
joined the family-owned Costa Rica Coffee Co. Ltd. of Cardiff, as a
Management Trainee then moving to John Player & Sons of
Nottingham, where he was a Tobacco Marketing Executive until
