NOTICE OF ELECTION
ELECTION OF A UK PARLIAMENTARY
CANDIDATE
for the
THE VALE OF GLAMORGAN
CONSTITUENCY
1. An election is to
be held of a Member to serve in Parliament for THE VALE OF
GLAMORGAN CONSTITUENCY.
2. Forms of
nomination paper may be obtained from the ACTING RETURNING OFFICER,
VALE OF GLAMORGAN CONSTITNEUCY, CIVIC OFFICES, HOLTON ROAD, CF63
4RU who will at the request of any elector for the said
electoral area, prepare for signature a nomination paper.
3. Nomination papers
must be delivered by the candidate, election agent, proposer or
seconder to the ACTING RETURNING OFFICER , VALE OF GLAMORGAN
CONSTITUENCY, CIVIC OFFICES, HOLTON ROAD, BARRY, CF63 4RU on any
day after the date of this notice between the hours of ten in the
morning and four in the afternoon but not later than 20 April
2010. The deposit for each candidate (£500.00) can be paid by
cash or bankers draft (banks operating in the United Kingdom
only).
4. If the election
is contested, the poll will take place on the 6 MAY 2010.
5. New applications
to vote by post and requests to cancel or change an existing postal
or proxy vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at THE
VALE OF GLAMORGAN CIVIC OFFICES, HOLTON ROAD, BARRY, CF63 4RU by 5
pm on the 20 April 2010, if they are to be effective for this
election.
6. New applications
to vote by proxy except on the grounds of a medical emergency must
reach the Electoral Registration Officer at THE VALE OF GLAMORGAN
CIVIC OFFICES, HOLTON ROAD, BARRY, CF63 4RU by 5 pm on the 27 April
2010, if they are to be effective for this election.
7. Applications to
vote by proxy on the grounds of a medical emergency must reach the
Electoral Registration Officer at THE VALE OF GLAMORGAN CIVIC
OFFICES, HOLTON ROAD, BARRY, CF63 4RU by 5 pm on the 6 May 2010 if
they are to be effective for this election.
