Minutes of a meeting held on 18th October, 2010.

 

Present:  Councillor C.L. Osborne (Chairman); Councillors Mrs. M.E.J. Birch, F.T. Johnson and Mrs. D.M. Turner.

 

 

561     APOLOGY FOR ABSENCE -

 

This was received from Councillor J.C. Bird.

 

 

562     MINUTES -

 

RESOLVED - T H A T the minutes of the meeting held on 20th September, 2010 be approved as a correct record.

 

 

563     DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST -

 

No declarations were received.

 

 

564     EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC -

 

RESOLVED - T H A T under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 4 of Schedule 12A (as amended) of the Act, the relevant paragraphs of the Schedule being referred to in brackets after the minute heading.

 

 

565     LAND AT GLEBEFIELDS, SULLY (EXEMPT INFORMATION - PARAGRAPHS 12 AND 14) (DLPPHS) -

 

Committee was apprised of developments concerning a parcel of land located adjacent to the Glebefields, Sully originally disposed of by the Welsh Church Act Estate Trust in 2009.   A plan of the land was appended to the report.  The solicitors acting for the owner of the parcel of land in question had recently contacted the Council. 

 

Having regard to the contents of the solicitors’ letter referred to above and to another alternative option, it was

 

RESOLVED -

 

(1)       T H A T the current position concerning the parcel of land located adjacent to the Glebefields, Sully previously disposed of the by the Welsh Church Act Estate be noted.

 

(2)       T H A T the content of the letter dated 27th September 2010 received from the solicitors acting for the owner of land in question be noted.

 

(3)       T H A T the former tenant be reimbursed the value of the land which had been removed from her legal title.

 

Reasons for decisions

 

(1&2)  To update Committee as to developments concerning the parcel of land located adjacent to the Glebefields Sully.

 

(3)       To effect a satisfactory resolution.
