Welcome to the

All Wales Hate Crime Survey

The All Wales Hate Crime Project Team would like to invite you to have your say about discrimination, harassment and hate crime in Wales by taking part in an important new survey.

Whether you're a victim, a witness, someone who's been affected in some other way, or you just have an opinion about hate crime, they would be very grateful if you could take the time to fill in the survey and tell them about it.

They want to hear about it if you’ve been affected by prejudice or hostility on the basis of:

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Disability/ impairment
  • Race/ethnicity
  • Religion
  • Sexual orientation
  • Transgender status

Please go here to Take the Survey

What you need to know:

  • The survey is strictly confidential and anonymous.  They will never give your personal information to any other organisations.
  • They want to hear about both criminal acts and ‘low level’ incidents, such as harassment, name-calling, ridicule, being ignored, and being treated with impatience, intolerance or frustration because of your identity.
  • The information from this research will be used to raise awareness and improve services for victims of discrimination, harassment and hate crime in Wales.
  • This online survey will take between 10 to 20 minutes to complete depending on your experiences.

This Big Lottery funded research is being led by Race Equality First in partnership with Cardiff University and the Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan Equality and Human Rights Network.

If you have any questions about the research, or would like to fill in the survey in a different format or language, please get in touch with Jasmin Tregidga, at Cardiff University on 029 20875093 or send her an email tregidgaj@cardiff.ac.uk.

Thanks in advance for agreeing to take part and helping to improve the quality of life for people who live in Wales.
