Filming in the Vale

The Vale of Glamorgan Council welcomes enquiries from television and film producers and photography companies looking for project locations in the county.

We aim to help wherever we can, while also minimising any disruption such work might cause to residents and local businesses.

The Vale of Glamorgan stretches from Hensol in the north to Barry Island in the south, and from Ogmore-by-Sea in the west to Penarth in the east.  A county renowned for its green pastures and rocky ‘Heritage’ coastline and beaches, as well as its characterful towns, it offers many location opportunities for filmmakers. Its excellent transport links and proximity to Cardiff, capital of Wales,

add to the area’s appeal.

Local crew and non-Council owned locations in the Vale

The Wales Screen Commission can help production companies find local crew and support services, and advise on Vale locations not owned by the Council. Call the South East Wales Office on +44 (0) 29 2043 5385/381.
