CCTV coverage leads to seven arrests in the
Vale

Vale of Glamorgan CCTV operators contacted the police 38
times in the week ending 25 December, resulting in seven arrests
and one person found who was wanted for questioning.
On 19 December, one person was arrested for theft on
Holton Road and an arrest was made on Gladstone Road of a person
wanted on warrant by the police.
Two arrests for theft were made on Holton Road on 20
December and on 21 December an arrest for outstanding theft was
made in Dinas Powys.
The person wanted for questioning was found on Holton Road
on 23 December.
An arrest for public order was made on Broad Street on
Christmas Eve along with an arrest for theft on Holton
Road.
All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.
The CCTV team is part of the Safer Vale Partnership which
comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council,
Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services,
Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary
Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
