CCTV assists with five arrests and one
caution

The CCTV operation in the Vale of Glamorgan, working
under the umbrella of the Safer Vale Partnership, assisted with
five arrests and one street caution in the week ending 3 July
2011.
CCTV contacted the police on 44 occasions. One arrest for
affray was made on Vere Street on 27 June and another was made on
Holton Road the next day for theft and criminal damage. Three
arrests were then made on 3 July; one for common assault on Vere
Street, one for possession of drugs on Kingsland Crescent and a
final one on Broad Street of an individual wanted on warrant. In
addition to the arrests, a caution was also issued on Holton Road
on 1 July.
All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.
The Safer Vale Partnership comprises representatives of
the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation
and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS
Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and
voluntary bodies.
