CCTV helps make eleven arrests in Barry

Eleven people have been arrested in Barry as a result of
CCTV monitoring.
CCTV operators contacted the police on 51 occasions during
the week ending 5 February 2012.
One arrest took place on 30 January, on Crossway Street
for burglary, another on Broad Street, on 31 January, also for
burglary.
An arrest took place on Holton Road for being drunk in
charge of a vehicle on 1 February and two arrests were also made
for possession of drugs on Broad Street.
On 3 February arrests were made on Holton Road for a
public order offence and of a person wanted on warrant.
Two people were arrested for affray on Skomer Road on 4
February and also on that day two people were arrested for criminal
damage on Newland Street.
All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.
The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the
Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the
Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and
Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts,
Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and
voluntary bodies.
