Man with forged bank notes arrested in Barry street

A man has been arrested in a Barry street for possessing forged bank notes.

 

The arrest on Holton Road on December 30, forms part of seven carried out by South Wales Police in the town as the result of information provided by CCTV operators in the Vale of Glamorgan up to the week ending January 1.

 

Working under the umbrella of the Safer Vale Partnership, the team passed on details which lead to the arrest of two men and a woman in Gateholme Close for assault on December 27.

 

On December 28 a man was issued with an anti harassment order, under the Protection from Harassment Act, on George street. On December 30, a man was arrested in Market Street in connection with breaking into a vehicle and going equipped to steal.

 

On the same day, a missing man was found on Holton Road and a teenage boy was given an antisocial behaviour referral notice in connection with vandalism in a telephone box on Main Street.

 

On New Year’s Eve, a man was arrested on Broad Street for assault and another man was arrested on George Street in connection with a burglary.

 

CCTV operators contacted the police on 31 occasions. All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.

 

The Safer Vale Partnership comprises representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
