A man has been arrested in Barry street for possessing an
offensive weapon.

The detention on January 24 in Holton Road, forms part of 11
carried out by South Wales Police in the town as the result of
information provided by CCTV operators in the Vale of Glamorgan up
to the week ending January 29.
Working under the umbrella of the Safer Vale Partnership, the
team also passed on details which led to the arrest of another man
on the same day, for shoplifting in Holton Road.
On January 26, a man was arrested in Holton Road for the same
crime. On January 27 a man was arrested for shoplifting and assault
and a woman was also detained on Holton Road for shoplifting. On
the same day, a man was arrested on Ramsey Road for interfering
with a vehicle.
Two men were arrested on January 28 for possessing class B drugs
and a man was detained in High Street for being drunk in charge of
a vehicle.
CCTV operators contacted the police on 39 occasions. All crimes
are alleged at the time of incident.
The Safer Vale Partnership comprises representatives of the Vale
of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown
Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale
Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary
bodies.
