Public order offence leaves three in police
custody

Three people have been arrested in Barry for a public
order offence.
The three detentions for affray on Holton Road on January
6, forms part of six carried out by South Wales Police in the town
as the result of information provided by CCTV operators in the Vale
of Glamorgan up to the week ending January 8.
Working under the umbrella of the Safer Vale Partnership,
the team also passed on details which lead to the arrest of one
person on Court Road, on January 4, on an outstanding
warrant.
On January 6, police made an arrest for an attempted
burglary on Gladstone Road and they arrested on person on Paget
Road, on January 8 in connection with an assault.
CCTV operators contacted the police on 30 occasions. All
crimes are alleged at the time of incident.
The Safer Vale Partnership comprises representatives of
the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation
and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS
Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and
voluntary bodies.
