CCTV monitoring leads to eight arrests

Police made eight arrests in Barry, including three arrests for
theft, thanks to CCTV monitoring.
CCTV operators at the Vale of Glamorgan Council contacted police
on 27 occasions during the week ending 17 June.
On 12 June, one person was arrested for criminal damage on
Columbus Close.
Two people were arrested for theft on Holton Road on 13 June.
Police made another arrest for theft on Holton Road the following
day.
A wanted person was arrested on Holton Road on 14 June. On 15
June, police made a public order arrest also on Holton Road.
One person was arrested for assault on Market Street on 16 June.
Police made an arrest for burglary at Dunlin Court the same
day.
All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.
The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale
Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of
Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown
Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale
Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary
bodies.
