Certificates for adult learners
Certificates for learners
Groups of adult learners in the Vale of Glamorgan have been
celebrating their success on courses enabling individuals to
demonstrate their competence in computer skills.
The achievements of the Cowbridge Community College groups were
recognised through the presentation of certificates by Cllr Tony
Hampton, chairman of the Vale Council's Scrutiny (Lifelong
Learning) Committee.
The learners were receiving certificates covering CLAIT
(Computer for Beginners) and European Computer Driving Licence
courses. Many of the tutors were celebrating their success in
receiving certificates for ECDL Advanced Modules.
Cowbridge College currently runs an ECDL advanced course on
Tuesdays (1:00 - 3:30pm) with Alison Hannaby.
The ECDL is an internationally recognised qualification and the
fastest growing IT user qualification in more 125 countries.
Presenting the certificates, Cllr Hampton said: "ICT is
increasingly important for everyone to learn skills and gain
qualifications, and the Council is committed to helping
individuals."
