Car park opening times in Barry
In the run-up to Christmas, Barry's Court Road multi-storey car
park will be open to the public between 7am and 6pm on Sunday and
Monday, 23 and 24 December, the Vale of Glamorgan Council has
announced.
The free car park, which has normal opening hours of 7am to 7pm
(Monday to Saturday), will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing
Day, Sunday, 30 December, and Tuesday, 1 January.
It will be open 7am to 7pm on 27, 28 and 29 and 31 December and
return to normal operation from 2 January.
The Wyndham Street, Evans Street and Kendrick Road car parks
will be open between 9.30am and 6.30pm daily until 24 December and
then remain open until the New Year when they return to normal
operating hours.
The recently-opened Thompson Street car park has no current
restrictions on opening times and can be used by shoppers
throughout the holiday period.
Cabinet member for visible services Cllr Rob Curtis said he was
pleased the council was able to provide longer hours of parking for
shoppers in Barry over the Christmas period.
Operational manager (highway maintenance) Keith Jones said the
Thompson Street car park now provided additional spaces for
shoppers in the western end of the town centre.
