Two men arrested for violent disorder

 

Safer Vale logoThe CCTV operation working under the umbrella of the Safer Vale Partnership assisted with 11 arrests in the week ending 16 December.

 

CCTV contacted the police on 42 occasions and, in addition to the arrests, they also helped with an incident at Broad Street, Barry, on 13 December after which two persons were referred to the Safer Vale anti-social behaviour unit.

 

One female was arrested for criminal damage to a car at Windsor Road, Penarth, on 14 December, while the other arrests, all in Barry, related to robbery of a wallet (three persons, Holton Road, 10 December), shoplifting (Holton Road, 11 December), assault (Main Street, 12 December), criminal damage and drunk and disorderly (Broad Street, 13 December), violent disorder (two men, Barry Island, 15 December), dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident and possession of drugs (Main Street, 15 December) and driving offences (Skomer Road, 16 December; an incident in which the vehicle was seized).

 

The Safer Vale Partnership comprises representatives of the Vale Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trust and statutory and voluntary bodies.
