Councils commission Housing Study

Councils seek public's help in housing study

Approximately 23,000 Vale residents will be receiving a postal questionnaire as part of the production of a joint Local Housing Market Assessment.

Residents are being asked their views on a wide range of matters which will allow the councils to assess housing needs and demands within their areas.

The assessment will be used to inform Local Development Plans and Local Housing Strategies and will provide information essential to support negotiations to secure affordable housing on new developments.

An external research company, Fordhams, has been commissioned to undertake household surveys, analyse data and produce a final report

Residents have been randomly selected, and the Council is urging individuals to complete and return forms by June 8.

All information collected will be treated in the strictest confidence and will only be used for the purpose of the survey.

All returned forms will be entered into a £100 draw.

Any further information or help in completing the form can be provided by telephoning James Eve on FREEPHONE 0800 163 231
