'Walk for Skin' at Cosmeston

The new Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan, Cllr Clive Williams, was delighted to officially start this year's 'Walk for Skin' charity event at Cosmeston Lakes Country Park, near Penarth, on Sunday, May 21.

Organised by the British Skin Foundation, and involving 17 other charities, the annual walk raises funds for research to help the eight million people in the UK whose lives are affected by skin disease.

Vale Mayor, Cllr Williams, said: "I am glad we were able to host this extremely worthwhile event in the Vale of Glamorgan and to help charities in their work to raise funds that may lead to new treatments and cures for skin diseases."
