Barry taxi rank to be made permanent
The Vale of Glamorgan Council is proposing to establish a new
permanent taxi rank in Barry town centre.
The rank adjacent to the Windsor pub in Holton Road has been
used on a temporary basis for the last couple of years.
The former rank at Wyndham Street was removed three years ago
when, in conjunction with the Town Hall redevelopment and the
building of the new County Library, the area was needed for bus
stops.
Operational manager (engineering design) Paul Gay said: "The
taxi trade has indicated that they are in favour of the rank
remaining in its current position and being made permanent."
