'Moving On' up at the Rainbow Centre

'Moving On' up at the Rainbow Centre

The Rainbow Centre in Llantwit Major has hosted a presentation event to mark the success of a group of people on a Vale of Glamorgan Council training programme.

The group gained qualifications in first aid, confidence and assertive skills and computer courses as part of the 'Moving On' programme designed for both men and women who are unemployed or work less than 16 hours a week.

Rainbow project officer Cherno Bah said: “It's great to be working in partnership with 'Moving On.' It's helping people gain confidence and further skills in their efforts to gain employment."

'Moving On' co-ordinator Sandra Davies said: “Moving On is coming to the end of its second successful year. We are pleased that so many people from across the Vale have been able to access this free and friendly programme."

If anyone needs help in moving forward towards work, further learning or volunteering in 2008, then give Sandra, Alyson or Bev a ring on (01446) 733034 or pick up a brochure from a range of public buildings in the Vale.
