Vale Mayor supporting the work of Headway

Vale of Glamorgan Mayor Cllr Clive Williams has paid a courtesy call on one of his nominated charities.

Accompanied by the Mayoress, his wife, Gwyneth, Cllr Williams met clients, staff and volunteers at Headway Cardiff based at Rookwood Hospital.

Cllr Williams said: "It's a pleasure to be supporting the work of Headway who cover south east Wales and aim to improve the quality of life of brain injury survivors. They work and support the individuals, their families and carers to help people with a brain injury to live as independently as possible."

Clients attend Headway once a week, with a programme of activities designed to meet the varying needs of individual groups.

Cllr Williams added: "The staff and team of volunteers who run the centre have experience of the traumatic effects of brain injury and have been trained to help develop skills and support people towards achieving the highest possible quality of life."

To access the Headway service, you must be a brain-injured person aged between 17 and 65 and live in south east Wales.
