'Go for Gold' at Vale libraries this summer
Linking in with the Olympic Games in Beijing in August, there
is a sporting theme to this year's 10th Summer Reading Challenge
being promoted through Vale of Glamorgan Council libraries.
Under a 'Go for Gold' banner, ‘Team Read’ challenges children
aged four to 12 to read six books during the holidays, with a range
of sporting incentives along the way and a certificate for everyone
who crosses the finishing line. So race down to your local library
and sign up.
Sponsored by Techniquest and the Welsh Hawking Centre, Vale
libraries will also host a wide-ranging series of summer activities
for youngsters, bookings for which can be made through the
appropriate library:

Leaping with Leoni (music, dance and stories with Leonie Hain;
for children seven and over): 29 July, 10-11am (Dinas Powys).
Leaping with Leoni (for children up to six): 28 July, 10-11am
