Surgery as part of conservation areas review
As part of a review of the conservation areas of Llancadle,
Llantrithyd, Porthkerry and Rhoose, a special surgery has been
arranged by the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
To be held at Rhoose Community Hall, Station Road, on Thursday,
15 May, between 1.30 and 5.30pm, the surgery will be attended by
council officers and representatives of consultants who will answer
questions on draft conservation area appraisals and management
plans for the four areas.
The review has included the delivery of questionnaires to
properties within the four areas of special architectural and
historic interest, and council operational manager (planning and
transportation policy) Emma Harvey said: "The council has to review
its conservation areas from time to time, and formulate and publish
proposals for the preservation and enhancement of those areas. The
review provides local people with the opportunity to tell us what
they think. This information will greatly assist the council."
Copies of the draft documents are available for inspection at
the Rhoose Library and mobile libraries, and can also be viewed online.
Comments on the draft appraisals and management plans can be
made in writing to the Planning and Transportation Policy Section,
Vale of Glamorgan Council, Dock Office, Barry CF63 4RT or by
emailing planningandtransport@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk by
12noon on Friday, 13 June.
