Don’t get caught out - make sure you are on the electoral
register
Residents in the Vale of Glamorgan are being urged to safeguard
their vote at election time by registering this autumn.
The plea comes at the start of the annual canvass, when local
authorities in Wales deliver electoral registration forms to all
households. To vote in an election, eligible electors must be on
the electoral roll.
All households in the Vale will now have received a letter from
the Vale council containing the annual canvass form. It will list
all the people currently on the electoral register for the address.
Electors are asked to simply add anyone who should be registered
and isn’t on the list and cross out anyone who no longer lives at
the address. The form should be signed and returned to the
council as soon as possible.
