Art Central plays host to Barry College arts
showcase
An exhibition showcasing the creative talents of final
year art and design students from Barry College has gone on show at
the Vale Council’s Art Central gallery.
The exhibition is the outcome of students studying WJEC
Foundation Diploma, BETEC First and National Diplomas and
Foundation Degree Course at the college and shows a fantastic mix
of imaginative and creative art designs in a variety of media
including textiles, fashion, ceramics, graphics, printmaking,
photography and fine art.
A number of students have based their work around a recent
educational visit to Paris which has stimulated a range of new
experimental approaches.
Adrian Metcalfe, course tutor in Art at Barry College, said:"
Barry College students have produced a fantastic collection of
stunning, innovate creative work.
"It is a testament to their energy and enthusiasm and I would
urge all those with an interest in art to pop along to the
exhibition on King Square for a look."
The exhibition runs from 13 June to the 27 June and entry is
free. Art Central is open between 10am and 4pm Tuesday to
Saturday.
