Santa delights children at Vale Allsports Club - 22/12/06
A Barry-based club offering fun sporting activities for young
disabled people has enjoyed a visit from the Barry Round Table's
Christmas float.
Table chairman Mike Davies and fellow members accompanied Father
Christmas to the Vale Allsports Club where Santa presented
selection boxes to more than 40 children.
Round Table kindly supplied the gifts, and the children were
delighted to meet Santa and highlight their Christmas wish
lists.
Vale Allsports are based at the Hen Goleg Centre and offer an
exciting range of sports including boccia, ball games, kwik
cricket, lacrosse, football, basketball, kurling, indoor athletics
and hockey.
Club organiser is Vale Disability Sport Wales Development
Officer Linda Ruston, who said: “Members get a lot out of the club
and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who
ensures that the Allsports run smoothly. We would be happy to
welcome more new members for 2007.”
Club sessions are every Tuesday, and there are two times
(dependent on needs of members); 6–7pm costing £2 and 7– 8.30pm for
£2.50.
