Your Vale Your Future - The Local Development Plan -

As part of its preparation of a new Local Development Plan
(LDP), which will govern how land within its area is used between
2011 and 2026, the Vale of Glamorgan Council is currently inviting
developers, landowners and other interested parties to nominate
‘candidate sites’ for potential inclusion.
Sites can be promoted for a number of uses, such as housing,
employment, retail, recreation, transport, tourism, minerals,
waste, and community uses.
Each site must be submitted on a separate form, which can be
obtained from the Council’s main offices and libraries or
downloaded from the website (www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk). The
closing date for submissions is 5pm on Wednesday, 31st January,
2007.
Candidate sites will be considered by the Council as part of the
preparation of the Plan.
The next stage in the process is the publication of the
Preferred Strategy, which is anticipated in July, 2007.
