Storyteller launches children's activities at new library - 11/01/07

 

Children's activities at the new County Library in Barry have been launched with a visit by storyteller Cat Weatherill.

 

Born in Liverpool and now living in Wales, Cat Weatherill is the author of "Barkbelly" and "Snowbone" and has been storytelling for the past eight years.

 

As well as undertaking television and radio work, Cat performs at storytellng and literature festivals, both in the UK and abroad, and has enjoyed many sell-out shows at The Guardian Hay Festival and the Barbican in London.

 

Children's librarian Gillian Southby said: "With some wild and wondrous stories, Cat took the children on a magical journey away from the wet and windy streets of Barry to a land where anything and everything is possible."
