Face2Face with well-known authors - 09/01/07
As part of its "Face2Face" programme, the Vale of Glamorgan
Library Service has hosted a visit by well known and popular Welsh
novelist Catrin Collier.
Catrin, who entertained a large audience at Penarth Library. has
written a sequence of popular historical novels which are set in
her home town of Pontypridd, and in Cardiff. The latter was the
setting for her recently published novel, "Tiger Ragtime."
Catrin explained her research methods, and many audience members
contributed their own reminiscences about life in South Wales.
Catrin also talked about the crime thriller novels she writes as
Katherine John.
The Meet the Author events are part of a programme organised at
various libraries, including Barry, and Penarth will again be the
venue for the next event.
To be held on Wednesday, January 24, at 7.30pm, the guest will
be Welsh poet Sheenagh Pugh. Tickets cost £2 and are available from
the local library.
