Free places available on Pass Plus Cymru - 21/11/06
Places are still available on a special free driving course
being run by the Vale of Glamorgan Council on Saturday, November
25.
The Pass Plus Cymru course, which will be run at the Barry Fire
Station between 10.30am and 1.30pm, can be taken after individuals
pass their driving test. By building on driving skills, knowledge
and hazard awareness, the course is aimed at helping reduce the
risks of being involved in an accident and could help drivers
qualify for a substantial discount with many insurance
companies.
The course, consisting of a compulsory theory session and eight
hours (shared) on road driving experience, is subsidised by Welsh
Assembly funding and considerable savings can be made compared to
normal Pass Plus rates.
The Vale Council has been running the courses since July, 2006,
and, at present, they are being offered FREE to all
participants.
Pass Plus Cymru is managed by MAC Driver Training on behalf of
the 22 Welsh local authorities and is supported by Direct Line
Insurance.
To log on to the course, please go to www.dragondriver.com or
ring 0845 0504255 or contact Shirley Dodd-Clark, Road Safety
Officer, on 01446 704783.
