Meet an author Face2Face - 16/10/06

Vale of Glamorgan Libraries have an exciting programme of author visits lined up for 2006/2007.

Under the theme, Face2Face, the public are being offered the chance to meet Lynne Barrett-Lee, Catrin Collier, Sheenagh Pugh, Trisha Ashley, Shirley Billing, Lionel Fanthorpe and a quartet of crime writers.

The next event is at Cowbridge Library on Thursday, 26th October, at 7.30pm, when Lynne Barrett-Lee promotes her new novel, "Barefoot in the Dark." With the book published on 18th October, Cowbridge Library is very pleased to welcome Lynne to talk about a novel that will literally be hot off the press! Lynne also writes under the pseudonym, Daisy Jordan.

On Wednesday, 29th November, at 7.30pm, Penarth Library will welcome Catrin Collier, one of Wales’ most successful writers. Catrin will be promoting her new novel, "Tiger Ragtime," the second in her series set in Cardiff’s docklands in the 1930s.

Tickets for each event cost £2. Contact Cowbridge Library on (01446) 773941 for tickets to see Lynne Barrett-Lee and Penarth Library on 029 2070 8438 for tickets to see Catrin Collier.

Future events will be held in Dinas Powys, Llantwit Major and the new Barry Library in King Square. For a full programme of events, pick up a brochure at your local library or log on to www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk/libraries
