Resurfacing programme for Vale roads - 26/10/06

Highway resurfacing works totalling £350,000 will be undertaken by the Vale of Glamorgan Council over the coming months.

The Council Cabinet has agreed the programme, which will be designed and managed by the authority's Highways Maintenance Division and undertaken by contractors.

Council Leader Cllr Jeffrey James said: "I am delighted we are able to continue with our programme of improving road surfaces in the Vale. As well as providing a smoother ride for motorists, the works will also result in a reduction in traffic generated noise especially in more residential areas."
