Not too late to join adult education class - 25/09/06
Vale of Glamorgan residents are being given a final reminder
that it’s still not too late to join an adult education class.
There are still places left on some courses at adult education
centres throughout the Vale and, although some classes commence
this week, new students are welcome.
In Barry, there are places on both daytime and evening language
courses including French, German and Spanish at all levels. Welsh
classes are increasingly popular but new students are welcome at
all levels.
For anyone wishing to try their hand at arts and crafts, there
are a limited number of places for drawing and painting and
watercolours, and also crafts such as stained glass, creative
cardcraft , Jewellery, textiles and pottery.
Courses for computers for beginners are almost full but ring for
information on spaces and with accredited courses such as Clait and
the European Computer Driving Licence, digital photography and
traditional darkroom photography.
For those with a musical talent, there are still places on
guitar classes all stages.
Meditation and relaxation and reflexology are an ideal way to
learn to relax and learn to practice skills on family and
friends.
And it's not too late to get involved in tracing your family
tree through two new classes on a Wednesday afternoon at Barry's
Palmerston centre.
A FREE creche is available for parents and carers attending
classes at Palmerston. Concessions are available for retired and
those on benefit.
For information, call centres and staff will be happy to
advise.
