The Vale of Glamorgan Council's Football Development Unit has announced a series of autumn Football Coaching Centres.

The Coaching Centres take place as follows:

Holm View Leisure Centre, Barry

Every Thursday from 5th October until 14th December

4 – 5pm: Ages 5 – 7

5 – 6pm: Ages 8 – 10

Llantwit Major Leisure Centre

Every Friday from 6th October until 15th December

4 – 5pm: Ages 5 – 7

5 – 6pm: Ages 8 – 10

Every child that completes the course will receive a special prize and certificate. Promising youngsters may have the opportunity to progress to the Football Association of Wales’ Trust Academy. There are also opportunities for players to continue their development via junior club football.

Nathan Nurton, Assistant Football Development Officer at the Vale Council, said: “Our Football Coaching Centres are delivered by Union of European Football Association qualified coaches who are also trained in First Aid and Child Protection. Participants are set to benefit from the coaches' experience, build their confidence and enjoy the camaraderie that the Centres provide.”

The courses cost £30 for ten weeks and early booking is advised to avoid any disappointment. To book a place for your child, contact Llantwit Major Leisure Centre directly on 01446 793947 or for Holm View Leisure Centre bookings, telephone Julie Morgan on 01446 704754.
