BEWARE OF A NEW MAIL SCAM

Trading Standards would like to warn members of the public with regards to a new mail scam that has been identified within the south Wales area.

It has been reported that people are receiving letters claiming to be from the National Lottery stating that they have won a large sum of money and that all they need to do to claim it is to fill in their bank details on the documentation attached and send it back to the address provided.

These letters are not from the National Lottery and the simple message is that generally if it seems to good to be true then it normally is so. Please do not allow yourself to become a victim of this type of crime, as this information could be used to steal your identity.
